Successful Boys

"My brother and I want to pay our
tithes to Mr. Armstrong. We began to
save last month a tenth of our pocket
money each week. After two weeks I got
a prize (one pound) for a story I sent
to a newspaper. We know that the
Bible is true and God has shown us
already what happens when you pay
tithes. I am ten and Charles is seven."

What can outsiders learn from this: even children were milked so the
ministry could feed themselves and their apostle could deliver Steuben
crystal to world leaders in a misguided, though zealous, attempt to do
it his own way.

What a mockery to claim that was preaching when he held the hands of
what later has appeared to be only sad dictators...

Worst of all, it was done in the name of God - and the mind-control
trick is so easy to overlook if people don't know the full background of
Armstrongism.
